Adult Bible Study

Growing in our Faith by reading and learning His Word

Adult Bible Study

As United Methodists, we recognize scripture as one of the 4 main components which comprises our faith. Because Christianity was never intended to be a spectator sport, group study is not just valuable, it is invaluable. As we encounter God's word together, we have the opportunity to share our different perspectives and insights and are broadened because of the interaction. More importantly, we can support, love and pray for one another in the process of learning together.

Reverend Elizabeth Kubota currently leads (2) Bible studies during the week: Monday mornings from 9:30 - 11:00 am and Tuesdays from 12:00 - 1:30 pm. The next Bible study is titled, "Into the Word, Into the World," which will focus on Luke through Acts. This study will last 12 weeks. Please contact her directly at ekubotae32@gmail.com if you are interested in joining one of the sessions.

Men's Prayer Group and Bible Study

Join us each week for coffee, breakfast, prayer, and Bible study! It's a powerful way to start the day and to demonstrate our faith within the community.

The group meets every Wednesday morning from 6am-7am in the Hamilton Room at FUMC.

Book and Bible Studies

Periodically throughout the year, we conduct various Book discussions and short-term Bible Studies. Books selected are all geared toward exploring our Faith in Jesus and in helping us develop a closer, more personal relationship with Him.

These studies are facilitated by our Senior Pastor, Pastor John and typically run from 4-8 weeks depending on the length of each book. Here are some of the books we have explored over the past few months:

  • The Shack, by William P. Young
  • Simon Peter: Flawed but Faithful Disciple, by Adam Hamilton
  • Faithful, by Adam Hamilton
