First UMC is blessed to have a variety of ministries to match the skills of our congregation with the opportunities to serve in our community and beyond. Here's a small set of our active ministries.

Helping Hands Meals Program

Meals for those at times of life changing events - the birth of a child, the death of a family member - prepared a delivered with care from your church family.

Appalachia Service Project (ASP)

A ministry of home repair to those in the Appalachia region.

Prayer Shawls

A knitting ministry to create and deliver prayer shawls to those in need.

Afterglow

A social group for those in our congregation with more than 50 years of life experience.
